2 Months Old!

I am pretty late with this post, the past two months have flown by! Hudson is now almost 11 weeks old.  He is such a happy baby! We are so thankful for him. 

      

     Weight: His appointment is this week, but we are guessing he is over 14 lbs now!

Clothes: 3 month clothes and will soon be moving into 6 month. It is so bittersweet having to put away so many things as he outgrows them!

 

 At 10.5 weeks...

 

• Hudson is sleeping great at night!  He usually goes to sleep between 8 and 9 PM and sleeps for at least 6-8 hours.  He then wakes up to eat and goes back to sleep for another 3-4.  He seems to love sleep like his big brother and we are thankful for that :)
• He is smiling constantly!! People are always very surprised to find out his age because he is so alert and smiley all of the time.  If he is awake, he is pretty much always smiling. He has such a sweet personality.
• He is giggling more and more and still laughs in his sleep all of the time. 
• Loves tummy time and is so strong!  He is able to push himself completely so that his head, neck and shoulders are all off of the ground and he is even rolling from stomach to back.
• Hudson likes to be cuddled and held.. mama seems to have spoiled him a bit because he only really wants to nap in someone's arms.
• Being outside is one of his favorite things. He really loved to be in the carrier, out and about.  I have realized I can run just about any errand with him in the carrier because he just wants to be held close. 
• Still eating every 2-3 hours during the day but he can go longer if we are out and keeping busy. 
• Hudson loves watching his brother play and smiles at him when he gets close.  He also loves lights and colorful toys.
• Napping in the crib is still a work in progress.
• He doesn't really like the pacifier.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it stays that way since big brother is going to be getting rid of his soon and that is going to be a challenge if Hudson has pacifiers lying around.

Family of Four!

It has been way too long since I updated on here, the past couple months have been pretty busy around here. We are now a family of 4!  Baby Hudson Stuart was born on Thursday, September 18 at 7:44 AM.  Big brother Jack has been so great through the transition and loves his baby brother so much.  We are so excited to watch their relationship grow as they get older.

Maternity Photos

About a month ago we had maternity photos done as a family.  It was so much fun spending the evening at the park with my boys.  Jack Jack wasn't too thrilled about posing but we managed to get some great shots of him and of us as a family.  We are counting down the days until Baby H arrives but also savoring every second with Jack as our only child. 20 Months!

Wow, so I am a couple of weeks late on this but I wanted to give some cute updates on Jack since he is growing and learning like crazy!  I keep a note in my phone and try my best to type things as they happen but I know I miss things sometimes.  Here are some updates on our boy and some photos. I realized I never posted pictures from our OBX beach trip! 

What Jack has been up to lately...

• Giving real kisses now. Closed mouth and puckers up and even says "mwah"
• Repeating so many words. Too many to count!
• Picks out animals from his zoo and can say a lot of names and make tons of noises. His current favorites are hippo, lizzard and monkey
• Hummed "Mary had a little lamb"
• Says "thank you" so clearly and unprompted.  Makes me very proud.
• Learning tons of body parts! Newest ones are fingers, arms, hair and neck
• Says "oh no! " and holds his hand to his mouth and also says "Hmmmmm" holds his little finger to his lip.  So funny and cute.
• When asked how old he is he sometimes says one but he usually gets excited and says "twooooo"
• Loves his "choo Choos" and cars. Choo choo is an adorable thing he says a lot
• Helps clean up his toys so well and after a diaper change he races to throw his diaper away in the trash. If something is out of place he says "uh oh" and points at it.
• We brought out the training potty but it is a work in progress. No real interest yet but he will sit on it occasionally.
• Puzzles are a favorite toy and he loves books! He goes from page to page and will "read" and babble to us. He also likes to identify objects in the book and tell us what they are
• He scratches mommys back which is appreciated :)
• Loves his baby doll we got him to prep for Hudson. Puts him to bed with daddy and holds and hugs him.
• Still loves to hug and kiss on mamas belly even though her really has no idea what is in there.
• Climbs onto the couch and ottoman and says "twoooo, twoooo, tree" and falls off. We have to watch very carefully bc he will even do it if no one is around but he prefers to be caught.
• Instead of "excuse me" he says "beep beep"
• His best friend at school is Abby and he asks for her constantly!, he also loves our neighbors and Harper, aka, "HArpee" is one of his favorite playmates!
