24 weeks!

What a week this has been.  I started out last Sunday feeling pretty good. Jack was working so I decided to run a bunch of errands and get some things done around the house.  Everything was going great until I made it about halfway through my errands and starting feeling like my stomach was in a huge knot.  I didn't think much of it until the next day when it was still happening on and off.  I called the nurse who told me to come in that afternoon to get checked out (insert WORRYING).  The appointment went fairly well (ultrasound looked great and baby's heartbeat was strong).  It took a bit of a turn when they ran a test to see if I am at risk to go into labor in the next two weeks and it came back positive!  That is clearly not good at 23+ weeks gestation.  The doctor wasn't super concerned since the other stuff looked good, but told me to take it easy until the next appointment.  I worked from home all week, ended back at the doctor's office on Friday in a lot of pain and they told me bedrest was in order until Tuesday (tomorrow).  The pain and cramps definitely seem to get better when I am in a laying position.  I am just hoping for great news tomorrow.  Although I am able to work from home, I miss being at the office and seeing people.  Being on the couch for a week straight is not easy.  However, I will do whatever it takes to keep this baby safe and healthy.  It is all worth it.  Please send positive thoughts at prayers that Baby G stays put for a long time and comes out when he is big and healthy enough!

I also want to take a second to say how incredibly blessed I am to have Jack as a husband.  I have been feeling kind of lonely and scared for the past week and he has been so amazing at calming my nerves and taking good care of me.  I love when he stops what he is doing and walks over to my stomach to say "stay put baby!" to my belly and give it a kiss before continuing on with whatever he was doing.  He is going to be such a sweet daddy.

How far along? 24 weeks, 3 days
Baby is as big as a: According to my app, baby is as long as a banana!  We aren't sure about weight but I am hoping they can give us an estimate tomorrow at our ultrasound.
Maternity clothes? yes.  Most of my regular clothes are being pushed to the back of the closet.
Stretch marks? no, thank goodness.  My mom says she didn't get them with me, so I am hoping I take after her.
Sleep: I've learned that not sleeping well is my new normal so I am not complaining.  Thank goodness for the snoogle pillow and my sweet husband for waking me up at night when I am on my back.
Best moment this week:  Lots of movement, which has brought some peace of mind through all of the craziness.
Miss Anything? lunch meat. always.
Movement:  All of the time!
Food cravings:  anything sour.  Meg and Holly brought me a whole bag of sour goodness over the weekend and I am loving it.  I also really crazy apples and watermelon.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Is it strange that I think this pregnancy is making me have a mild case of claustrophobia? If I am in a really small room or crowded with a bunch of people, I start to feel really queasy and my palms get sweaty.  It is not something that ever happened to me before.
Gender : Boy :)

Belly Button in or out? pretty much out. So long innie, hope to see you again in a few months.
Wedding rings on or off? on and tight. This heat does not help.
Happy or Moody : happy!  Just ready for our appointment tomorrow and hoping we get great news about baby Greene being content and happy and nowhere near ready to make his appearance!
Looking forward to:  Working on the nursery and being in the 3rd trimester in just a few weeks!
