They grow up so fast...

We have had so much fun with this guy, especially lately. He is really starting to figure things out and has such an inquisitive little personality. We get daily reports from daycare that fill us in on the fun things he does on a daily basis and we get lots of play time in the mornings, nights, and weekends :)

Jack is starting to figure out how to wave "hi" and "bye".  He did it for the first time on Saturday night when my sister was saying bye to him from the street, and then again on Sunday when our friend Jamie was waving to him from across the room.  It is still pretty sporadic but he does it at the appropriate times so we can tell it is intentional.

Balls are his new favorite toy!  Jack bought him a miniature basketball and he loves pushing it back and forth with him across the living room.  At daycare the other day the teacher said that he pushed a ball to the wall and realized it came back to him, so he continued to push it against the wall again and again for about 10 minutes and was smiling the entire time.

Jack's top 4 teeth have been coming in for a few weeks now, but the two middle teeth finally popped through! It looks like he is going to have a gap between them, which is so adorable!  We still have a way to go before the others break out, but we are on our way.  I can't believe how many teeth he has already.

Jack absolutely hates peas!  We have tried them on three different occasion (twice homemade and once a store bought organic brand) and I feel likes he dislikes them a little more each time.  We will not torture him again, I just wanted to give it a few shots before we called it quits.  Last night we got a video of him shivering and gagging after each bite.  Hilariously adorable, but also sad ;)  He gets mangoes for the first time tonight and I have a feeling those will be a big hit!

Sleeping in the crib is going really well!  He has been in there for almost a week now and each night is a little better than the last.  I miss him like crazy though and check on him often, but he doesn't seem to mind it too much.  We are still working on weaning away from the feedings in the middle of the night, but we are taking baby steps.

He says "mama" :D  Right now, it is only when he is upset and wants to be held, but I absolutely love it.  It is the cutest thing.
